One of the roles in the film is played by the famous Ukrainian artist and sculptor Maria Kulikovska, who at the beginning of the film makes her own art performance and shooting her sculptures, thereby repeating the true story that took place at the "Izoyatsia" plant in Donetsk in 2014.
"In the film "Forgotten", I not only made a performance by shooting my cast figures, but also played the role of a journalist-propagandist. At first, I had some internal conflict: I was not sure that I wanted to play someone, because it is very important for me to remain real, and not to imitate. But then I decided in myself that my character is a continuation of the performance with a shooting, it is a collective image, an anti-hero. This is not acting or imitation, but an in-depth analysis of what happened in real life with my sculptures. After filming in the film, I realized that now I am truly a multimedia artist who can work in different genres." — comments Maria Kulikovska for Vogue UA.
