Reflecting on events of my [Maria Kulikovska] own life related to the forced migration, exile, war, being a woman in a patriarchal society. Working in my art with the themes of femininity, queerness, corporeality in relation to power and borders, I needed at least some protection and understanding. And also, through my experiments of queer, non-binary, performative, sculptural, architectural, and artistic projects, using innovative, organic, strange, non-sculptural, and "unusual" materials, I invited for the collaboration an architect-engineer, my partner, and ally Uleg Vinnichenko.

Since March 8, 2017, We are creating all Our works together, questioning the role of personal borders by the trust in each other.
